TCS London Marathon 2023

Our Mechanical Supervisor, Darrel Conway completed the TCS London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April, to help raise money for charity.

Here is what Darrel had to say about the experience:

“Running the London Marathon really was everything that everyone said it would be – the atmosphere was incredible and the constant support from the crowds really did help me get round the course! I started off quite quick and felt comfortable until the 19 mile mark, my legs started to ‘go’ and it shook me a bit.  I took a breather and started off again for the last few miles, finishing my marathon in 4 hours 17 minutes. Looking back I loved every minute of the experience, and making over £3000 for Great Ormond Street and the Giraffes on Tour, from generous donations, is the icing on the cake – thank you!! 

Knowing these donations will go to the Brighter Future Fund set up in memory of my cousins daughter, Louise Conway really makes it all worth it“.
