Sykes were appointed by Kings College London to complete re-roofing works to Lambeth Walk Group Practice, a general practice surgery in South London.

Lambeth Walk Group Practice is owned and run by Kings College London to act as a training practice for GPs and medical students. The practice and KCL maintain a close working relationship, and work together to offer training opportunities for medical students.

The project primarily involved overlaying the existing asphalt roof coverings with a Widopan FD roofing system with a 20 year guarantee and non-slip highlighted walkways. Works also included repointing, external redecoration, render repairs and internal part decoration.

The perimeter of the building was scaffolded to provide access to the external redecorations, masonry repairs and roof works. A temporary roof was erected to the entire roof area to allow all works to be completed during the inclement weather.

All works were completed within the agreed 12 week programme, whilst allowing the building to continue in operation and maintaining safe, unobstructed access for patients and staff.
