In May 2012, Sykes & Son completed the internal refurbishment of the grade I listed Wellington Arch, the historic landmark on London’s Hyde Park Corner in order to provide high quality exhibition and hospitality spaces.

The project included the removal of a mezzanine floor and insertion of a new floor and staircase, forming of new doorways and openings, repairs to the visitor viewing decks, floor and ceiling finishes and general redecoration throughout.

M&E upgrades included new lighting, provision of air conditioning to the new exhibition space, overhauling of the lift, extending fire protection and security system upgrades.

The new ‘Quadriga Gallery’ hosts a series of exhibitions exploring the history and heritage of England to the influence of Egyptian culture and design on the architecture of England.

Visitors are now able to step out onto the balconies on top of the Arch to enjoy views of the capital including the Royal Parks and the Houses of Parliament.
